The joys of a trip to London in the torrential rain!

Jeremy writes:

This was for an IFP Membership Committee in the morning, followed by an IFP full Board meeting in the afternoon, followed by a specialist sub-committee meeting, then a brief meeting with George Kinder who is in London to deliver workshops and presentations.

Our start time had been put back to 10.30 (thanks, Kerri), which meant the 8.00 train from York - reasonably civilised.

Our membership meeting was exciting and dynamic and a great introduction for Sarah, who has just joined the IFP staff at Whitefriars with responsibility for membership. The Board meeting covered a lot of ground, reflecting both the changing economic, regulatory, professional and consumer environment and the opportunities that are developing for the financial planning profession as a result of these changes.

The trip back was a nightmare, with rain in London as bad as a tropical downpour; but I eventually crawled home safely, if wet and bedraggled, at midnight.
