These well known words of Michael Gerber are profoundly important to the entrepreneurial psyche. For most entrepreneurs, it is not about money - it is about freedom.
In providing life and financial planning help to our many entrepreneur and solo-preneur clients we have observed that there are three key elements to making entrepreneurialism work to achieve the “dream of freedom”:
- Thorough knowledge of how to run a business (and it does not need an MBA)
- A deep and fundamental understanding of the product or service, the market and the interaction between the two
- An “inner fitness”
It was with real excitement, therefore, that I heard recently from my friend and mentor, Phil Dyer from Maryland, about the new course that he is running with Lisa Kirchenbauer, also a Kinder Institute Registered Life Planner from the States.
Entitled “The Total Business Transformation Experience”, this week long residential course in Italy and subsequent ongoing coaching is designed to develop that “inner fitness” in entrepreneurs necessary to bring about the freedom-centred, ideal life now - not next week, next month or next year.
I have known Phil since 2004 and Lisa since 2007. I was, and remain, deeply impressed with their skills and abilities. They are change makers and demonstrate a deep drive and an ability to move key players forward by helping them to develop an understanding of where they are and what needs to be done in their personal and professional lives.
Key to their success is the ability to see the big picture, to think strategically and to turn intellectual processes into action by dealing with internal resistances and obstacles.
Phil and Lisa work exceptionally well together. They are a powerful team, able to bring about change in people and organisations, not by imposing solutions but by helping others to see their own situation and potential in an empathic, supportive way.
So if you are an entrepreneur looking for true success in your business you could do yourself a favour and talk to Phil and Lisa - today.
